Active In Motion Personal Training on Facebook

Like many others, I had tried gym workouts several times and failed because I lacked motivation (sometimes it was hard enough just get there, I made all sorts of excuses), so, I signed up to have a Personal Trainer for 8 sessions. We worked out in the gym, but my trainer also took me to the local park and I have never worked harder than when we were training outdoors.

By the time my 3 months was up, I was going to Personal Training 3 times a week. I was feeling better about myself and so inspired. On an average wage I couldn’t afford both a gym membership and Personal Training. I found I was achieving so much more with my Personal Trainer because he pushed me that little bit harder, but the best bit was that the training was outside, so I didn’t have to suffer the intimidation that lifting weights in the gym can sometimes cause. The decision was clear, I decided not to renew my gym membership and continued Personal Training outdoors.

Approximately 2 years later I had competed in the 10km Asics Bridges Fun Run and was attempting my first City to Surf. Who would’ve thought that someone who previously drank and smoked excessively could ever imagine (let alone actually take part in) doing fun runs?!

With every step of my fitness increasing, so did my confidence and I felt happy and enthusiastic! My life had taken a turn for the better and while others thought I was crazy, my endorphins and my body told a different story!

Exercise is now my passion. With a bit of hard work and determination anyone can change their lives. No matter how big or small the change, I am focused on getting you there!
